Traditional Thai Table massage 23rd August & 30th August 2020

This Thai table massage  training is a  2 day course.  The focus will be on understanding traditional Thai massage and interpreting this modality to suit western table sessions.

Thai massage is based on traditional Thai medicine and the premise that the human body contains 10 energy lines, which control the balance of energy flow throughout the body.

The training incorporates passive stretching, compressions and breath work to restore the free flow of energy, blood and lymphatic fluid.

This course offers practical aspects such as therapeutic stretches, acupressure points, proper use of body weight and techniques using thumbs palms and elbows.

We will show you how to to apply comfortable deep pressure, keeping the treatment relaxing and comfortable.

This modality is working with clients fully clothed.

At the end of the training you will be able to provide a full body massage sequences combine with all the therapeutic traditional Thai stretches- on the table.

There will be a comprehensive workbook provided. Students are encouraged to wear loose fitting  shirts and pants (sweat pants, pajama pants, or yoga apparel).

This class does  not require a prerequisite.

The training is available for anybody who would like to begin a career in massage, or for a therapist who would like to add onto their existing skill base.
